Grace 360 highlights our welcome events and the weekly opportunities the Newman Center offers at UC San Diego.
What does "Grace 360" mean to you?
Day 1: 9/23 12:30PM and 5:30PM New Student Mass and Ice Cream Social at Good Samaritan.
Masses on Move-in weekend at 12:30 and 5:30, both followed by a free Ice Cream Social. Days 2-5: 9/24-27 Library Walk and Ridge Walk Tabling
Look for us tabling during Welcome Week on Library Walk and after the Triton Power Hour on Ridge Walk. Day 8: 9/30 4PM Welcome Mass and BBQ at Stonehenge in Revelle
Don’t miss the annual all-community Welcome Mass on Sunday, September 30, 4PM at Revelle Stonehenge (the La Jolla Project), followed by a free BBQ. This is our official kick-off of the academic year and is the only Mass of the day. A great outdoor location and a great opportunity to meet other Catholics on campus. Day 11: 10/3 12PM-2PM Under the Tree at Price Center fountain. [Weekly]
Join us "Under the Tree" at the Price Center fountain. Bring your own lunch and spend some time with people from the Newman Center. Day 11: 10/3 8:30PM Candlelight Mass at the Cross Cultural Center [Weekly]
For a mid-week time of quiet and fellowship, come to this year's first weekly Wednesday Candlelight Mass at the new (temporary) Cross Cultural Center (located in the former Financial Aid office). Day 12: 10/4 12:30PM Mid-day Thursday Mass at the Cross Cultural Center [Weekly]
This is a new Mass being offered on campus every Thursday at 12:30PM. Day 12: 10/4 6PM Thursday Fiesta: The First Thursday Night Dinner at the International Center [Weekly]
You’re invited to the first of our famous weekly "Thursdays" Night Dinners at the International Center.
Day 14: 10/6 12PM Beach BBQ at La Jolla Shores
Join us for a free BBQ at La Jolla Shores starting at noon. Day 15: 10/7 12:30, 5:30, 7:30 Regular Mass Schedule Begins at Good Samaritan [Weekly]
Sacrament of Reconciliation offered at 4:30PM [Day 16: New Event: 10/8 9PM Prayer Circle at the Cross Cultural Center] [Weekly]
This is a new event by the Education and Faith Development committee for students to come together and pray. But this is all just the beginning. Other traditions and opportunities include the Fall Retreat, Pancake Breakfast, Choir and other Liturgical Ministries, Tijuana Housebuilding, and more.
