Welcome
We are students, alumni, faculty and staff at UCSD, as well as young adults and residents of the surrounding area, who celebrate life together as the Catholic Community at UCSD. Hospitality and welcome are hallmarks of our community. We are passionate about living the Gospel in the context of our Catholic faith.
The photograph to the right shows the Student Ministers and Co-Advisors for this school year with Father John Paul Forte, OP and Friar Jairo Sandoval, OP. We warmly welcome the participation of all interested in promoting Christian values and walking beside us as we strive to live the Gospel.

The Young Adult Community is sponsoring an initiative called the Workout Campaign to strengthen the Catholic community at UCSD by encouraging interaction between the resident community members, YAGs and students. We will offer our labor services to resident community members with chores such as painting, assembling shelves, moving furniture, spring clean up, walking the dog and possibly more. In addition we can offer assistance with hi-tech services such as setting up wireless routers, installing software, configuring PCs, cell phones, etc. In return, community members’ generous donations in appreciation will go entirely and fully to the Building Tomorrow campaign. If you did not submit your Building Tomorrow pledge form by May 31, 2008, don't worry. You can still submit the form expressing your commitment to support the BT Campaign with Sustaining or Endowment funds, above current Mass offerings, to benefit the Newman Center Catholic Community at UC San Diego. Your contributions are vital to help sustain Newman Center operations and student ministry programs. Please see the Building Tomorrow section of the website for complete plan details.
