Billy Wojciak, Student

My name is Billy Wojciak, and I am a fourth year student at Revelle College majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
The Newman Center has provided me with a great sense of community. I have felt at home here since my freshman year. I’m confident that if you spend some time here, you will gain that same sense of community, warmth and welcome as I do.
I have grown as a person through the various ministries offered at the Newman Center. I have been challenged to let go of my own fears and insecurities, share my faith and fellowship with others. This community has helped me set a goal of leading a life of stewardship. Giving back to others is important to me and I enjoy meeting new people.
Some of my favorite ministries offered at the Newman Center include: Thursday Night Dinners, Small Church Communities, Wednesday night Candlelight Mass, the music ministry (I'm just a "from-the-pew" singer), and most of all, the celebration of the eucharist.
My goal as a member of the Pastoral Council is to help you feel at home here. I want you to feel like this is your place of worship, your place to thrive, to grow, and to really explore the person that God made you to be. I urge you to spend some time here. If there is anything that I can do to help you make this your home, please do not hesitate to see me or, if you prefer, to email me.
Welcome to the Newman Center. Welcome home!!!
