Tara Almazan, YAG

Hello, my name is Tara and I am one of your new young adult representatives on this year's Pastoral Council. I graduated from UCSD in 2005 (Go Muirons!) after transferring from American River College in Sacramento. I started attending the Newman Center in Spring of my Junior year and have been hooked ever since. Currently I am a staff member at the fantastic and spectacular Jacobs School of Engineering so if you think you see me walking around campus, chances are it is me so please feel free to say hello! I would love to meet you! I feel very blessed to be part of this community and am very happy to serve you through my involvement on the Pastoral Council!

When I am not working I enjoy running, swimming, biking, playing on whatever Newman Center IM team we have at the moment, reading, and volunteering.

Ultimate goals: Be a good person; Get on Jeopardy

Favorite Quote of the Moment:
"I believe that appreciation is a holy thing, that when we look for what's best in the person we happen to be with at the moment, we're doing what God does; so in appreciating our neighbor, we're participating in something truly sacred."
   - Mr. Rogers, Commencement Address at Middlebury College, May 2001
