“I will make with them a covenant of peace; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them, and I will multiply them, and put my sanctuary among them forever. My dwelling shall be with them; I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Thus the nations shall know that it is I, the LORD, who make Israel holy, when my sanctuary shall be set up among them forever.” (Ezekiel 26-28)
In today’s readings, they talk about how Jesus came to die and redeem not one people but the whole world. I think it is beautiful how God wanted to extend His plan of redemption and His love to everyone in the world. God’s love is so great and it brings me
so much joy to know that God desired to be our God and for us to be His people.
As I have grown up, I have developed such an appreciation for being able to grow up Catholic. Looking back, I am so grateful that I have been able to know God and turn to Him in the midst of so many difficulties. I don’t know where I would be if I didn’t know the merciful love of God.
I think that today’s readings really remind us just how much God loves us. He wanted to deliver us from sin, to be our God, and protect us. It is such a wonderful feeling to know that God desires to love us and for us to love Him back.
I pray that everyone may be able to come to know God and the great love that He has for each one of us. Lord, grant us the grace to always abide in You.
